Type IE CRISPR system based kit is developed that offers all-in-one vector for efficient gene silencing/modulation of gene expression, in different bacterial strains and species such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella. The GFP reporter control plasmid and pCascr_GFP plasmid which can silence the GFP reporter plasmid is also provided in the kit as positive control assay. The kit is capable of silencing two gene simultaneously and can be used for applications like understanding function of essential genes, modulating expression of enzymes or metabolic flux tuning.
