Reactor group is responsible for Safe and Smooth operation of Research Reactors at Trombay and also Facilitation for the utilization of these reactors for:

Reactor group is also responsible for the decommissioning of research reactors.
A new independent downcomer is laid through a diverse route from Overhead Storage Tank common drain line to reactor building sub basement through service building.

A new 120 kg/hr capacity Gas based chlorination was installed and commissioned at Cirus jetty due to degradation of old system. This job was carried out during lock-down period (Covid-19 pandemic situation) in order to ensure availability of operation of Dhruva reactor at rated power by providing fully functional sea water gas chlorination system.
